Jude’s Story

Jude is 14 and lives with his dad, while his mum and sisters live elsewhere. His childhood has been unstable as his dad has struggled with alcohol, and Jude often had to look after him or spend long periods on his own. During this time, he became vulnerable to local older men who took advantage of him, exploiting his need for care and support.

Now, with help from the OMS service, Jude is learning how to stay safe and understand that what happened was never his fault. He is beginning to feel more supported and is slowly finding a sense of security and trust again.
