ICRIR

The Independent Commission for Reconciliation and Information Recovery (ICRIR), established in 2024, investigates deaths and serious injuries related to the Troubles in Northern Ireland. The Commission is committed to supporting victims, families, and survivors with sensitivity to the trauma they have experienced, while promoting reconciliation. Communicating complex and sensitive information to diverse audiences required materials that were clear, accessible, and human-centred.

A range of public-facing materials, including reports, guides, flowcharts, leaflets, and digital content was designed and produced to communicate sensitive information clearly and empathetically. With the Commission still in its early stages, its brand was expanded through consistent, engaging materials. Complex topics were made accessible using bespoke icons and a human-centred design approach, enabling important information to be understood by victims, families, and survivors in a clear and respectful way.
